The Nook
In August of 2024, the Foundation purchased a study pod for the HPLF. It's the perfect spot to read, charge your phone and laptop, or get your work and homework done.
Book Drop
THE HPL Book Drop is designed with your convenience and security in mind. Whether you’re returning a novel, a stack of children’s books, or the latest DVD release, the book drop offers a hassle-free solution for all your returns. Located conveniently near the library entrance, the book drop is here to make your library experience even better. Past Projects
Painting of Interior Walls
In May 2025. the HPL had the interior walls professionally painted. Funded by the Foundation, the capital came from the 2024 Mini-Golf Fundraiser and reserved funds. The purpose of this project is replace the Library's outdated look with a fresh, modern, and aesthetic feel to encourage more patron engagement.
Wi-Fi Upgrade
We were pleased to announce a major Wi-Fi upgrade in HPL to provide patrons with a faster, more reliable, and seamless connection! With improved coverage and enhanced security features, patrons can now enjoy uninterrupted internet access from every corner of the library. Facilities Conditions Assessment
This Facility Condition Assessment was developed to address the physical structure and mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection systems to better understand the maintenance and capital needs of the HPL building. The findings identify long-term needs that will allow HPL to prepare a capital plan to address the annual operating costs and to protect the investment in the building.
